opml file import

j. wilder Jan 30, 2012 02:41PM EST

I am trying to import an opml file with a list of RSS feeds to CurationSoft and every time I do nothing happens. The file was created by exporting the feeds from Google Reader. My software is currently at version 1.1.5.

I saw an earlier entry requesting that the current RSS feeds be cleared to solve a similar problem. This did not help when I tried it.

Any suggestions?

Hey J,

It should give you an error message if something was wrong with the file. That listbox should get loaded up with Names and URLS. I just tested it again with a large OPML file and it still works fine. Honestly, I'm not sure what the issue could be. If you've just downloaded the software then clearing wouldn't make a difference. That solution was to fix a bug in a previous version. Please email your OPML file to support@curationsoft.com and I'll try to figure it out.

Brandon,

I tried a different OPML file and it worked so I checked my subscriptions in Google reader and found one with a problem. Deleted it and re-exported to OPML and was able to load the feeds into CurationSoft. Things are all good now.

Thanks!
