slight issues with search

Christopher Flores Feb 13, 2012 03:35PM EST

I simply noticed that one of the things I started doing was noticing stuff on the web and then trying to pull them up on Curationsoft to drag and drop in a post.

That is to say, sometimes you see things you want to curate before you turn on the tool. Sometimes it's so unique it may not even come up in a normal CurationSoft search. But you love Curationsoft so much you still want to drag and drop it! LOL

So what I do is highlight a section of the article (or the words in a comment or some identifiable thing I can highlight) and try to search it in Curationsoft so it brings up exactly what i was just looking at.

It works with some things, but not definitely not in a reliable way. For example, I edited an old post with CurationSoft was added tweet I saw that went perfectly to communicate the intent of the post. However Curation Soft only pulled up a tweet I couldn't used. So I dragged n dropped that and edited the links by hand. I had to lose the time stamp too.

This is true and it's an issue with CurationSoft. To support this type of thing we would need to go into a web app domain and expand from a desktop. This is something we're looking at :)
